What we teach

Our primary martial art is the Federation Wing Tsun System developed by Sifu Lee Paul Heron. It is our own unique interpretation of the traditional Chinese system developed from the teachings of Great-Grandmaster Yip Man.

This unique interpretation of Wing Chun Kung-Fu is far more effective than traditional, more static versions due to the application of correct weapons concepts & fighting strategy right from the start.

Now thanks to our constant research & development, more & more students are rediscovering the fantastic potential and easy learnability of this logical art. To find out why our approach is gaining support

Our secondary martial art is the Escrima Concepts System developed by Master Steve Tappin, which we believe to be the best armed system currently available. Starting with a single stick, the system expands to include all hand weapons, and a very strong unarmed component too.

Traditional Escrima (or Eskrima) is an indigenous Filipino martial art with close stylistic links to Kali and Arnis, however western influences have enriched & enhanced the system to the extent that the word Escrima is now used more out of respect & tradition than to describe a classical art. Master Steve Tappin's Escrima Concepts is a modern, honest, no-nonsense fighting system that is especially practical in todays weapon-based society.

As all martial arts including our Kung-Fu ultimately derive from weapons concepts, we seamlessly blend the teaching of our two main arts to the benefit of all members. If you're serious about self-defence.

Our specially designed Chi-Kung programmes give you simple, easy-to-remember movement patterns which will stretch, strengthen & tone the entire body. When coupled with correct breathing, these movements allow a complete, balanced workout just using your own bodyweight and a few square metres of space.

A healthy mind in a healthy body is an essential part of a good life & good martial arts. We offer many ways to help our members improve & maintain their health, including one-on-one Personal Training, regular workshops on Functional Fitness, tutorials on our own specially-developed style of Chi-Kung, and even professional advice on Diet & Nutrition too.

We believe that a balanced, toned, relaxed body is far more important & desirable than extremes of strength or flexibility.
